Old City Park is now known as Dallas Heritage Village. It is set up like old Dallas with actual homes, a church, and a school. They are even working on a historic garden that has plants that would have been grown in Dallas during that time period. The staff are dressed in period clothing to make it feel more authentic. Many schools have field trips to the park. There are also weddings held on site. They have a modern facility for the reception. It is a neat place to visit to get a firsthand idea of what it would have been like to live in Dallas generation's ago.

This turn of the century village is a peaceful destination that is often visited by families and school children. The park features 38 historic buildings including a church, several Victorian homes, a post office and general store, and a traditional Jewish household. Its a great escape to a less complicated era, located right in the middle of downtown. It is a great place for an educational family outing or group picnic.

Although this museum was informative, the homes and the grounds were something different, it failed to hold my attention because the museum lacked personality and did not leave an impression. All in all, it was boring.
PROS: Somewhat informative
CONS: Boring overall
