I was looking for something fun to take the inlaws and kids to keep them busy and this place was perfect! It's designed to be very kid friendly, and the people will get down at the kids level and explain everything in simple and fun ways. The kids had a blast exploring and playing and the in-laws enjoyed the educational aspect of the day. This was worth every penny and I will definately bring the kids back.

Heritage farmstead is a great place to take young children to in Plano Texas. I would say preschool to about 1st or 2nd grade. Their website keeps you updated with the latest events they have going on and what to expect each Friday. They inform you of all the fees involved and what your child will elarn. very informative - telling you exactly what you need to know without picking up a phone. The price is about $5 and you can take along a picnic lunch to enjoy after the tour and activities

This is a great place for the whole family. When I was in school, we used to take field trips here, and later on, I volunteered. There are animals on the property, like horses, etc. They have a great big barn. Many times they have seasonal activities and normal arts and crafts activities for the whole family. Even though the museum is right in the middle of the city, with all the trees and camouflage, it makes you feel that you are in a wooded forest surrounded by nature.
