Summer Fun!

On the third Saturday on each month in the summer there is an accoustic music night. Bring a picnic and enjoy the historic scenery while listening to some local music. My kids had a blast running through the misters and catching fire flies. What a great place to get out and enjoy our family together, great music and local history. I feel like I stepped back to 1890! For younger kids there is a Farmer Duck program each Thursday through the summer. Kids get do feed chickens and do some fun farm chores just like the old days. This place is great!

Such a fun place for families to visit!

I was looking for something fun to take the inlaws and kids to keep them busy and this place was perfect! It's designed to be very kid friendly, and the people will get down at the kids level and explain everything in simple and fun ways. The kids had a blast exploring and playing and the in-laws enjoyed the educational aspect of the day. This was worth every penny and I will definately bring the kids back.

Heritage farmstead is a great place to take young children to in Plano Texas. I would say preschool to about 1st or 2nd grade. Their website keeps you updated with the latest events they have going on and what to expect each Friday. They inform you of all the fees involved and what your child will elarn. very informative - telling you exactly what you need to know without picking up a phone. The price is about $5 and you can take along a picnic lunch to enjoy after the tour and activities
